Short-Form Video Editor/Motion Graphics Needed (Smart Nonsense / South Park Style)

We are a bootstrapped Catholic newsletter looking for a talented video editor / motion graphics artist to create engaging, high-energy short-form videos (Reels/Shorts/TikToks) to drive newsletter subscriptions. We already have the character assets ready! You will not be animating from scratch. We will provide you with: - A clean voiceover audio track. - The video script - High-resolution, transparent PNG character sheets (1 full-body asset + a sheet of various head expressions). Your Role: - Edit the static character assets dynamically using a South Park cut-out style (bouncing, scaling, sliding, and swapping head expressions to match the voiceover). - Edit in a fast-paced, high-retention "Smart Nonsense" style. - Add fast-paced, modern, animated captions (kinetic typography). - Incorporate engaging B-roll, pop-up graphics/emojis, and snappy sound effects. - Deliver in vertical 9:16 format, under 60 seconds. Requirements: - Proven experience editing high-retention short-form videos. - Strong motion graphics skills (After Effects, Premiere, Final Cut, etc.). - Ability to take static illustrations and make them feel alive through clever editing tricks (zooms, pans, framing). Please include samples of short-form videos you have edited in the Smart Nonsense or South Park style in your proposal. Budget & Workload: This is an ongoing project. We are starting with a paid test video. If it's a good fit, you will be working on 1 video per week. Please provide your rate per 60 second video.
