Content Production Operations Lead (AI Streaming App)
Worldwide
—— The Job: —— We are the #1 true crime streaming app in the world. We produce true crime docuseries, audiobooks, and podcasts at high volume using an AI-native production pipeline. Our catalog is more than 600 cases/titles and grows every week. We are hiring a Content Operations Lead to own our production pipeline day to day. You will manage two remote teams: a content operations team producing audio content, and a video team in Mexico producing docuseries. Your main focus is the video docuseries. You will run our content production trackers, coordinate the content teams, work with the engineering team when issues come up with the app or the backend CMS, and keep our publishing schedule on time and at a high quality. This role reports directly to the Head of Content and is built for someone who wants real ownership. Within 30 days, you should be able to run the whole operation on your own while the Head of Content simply reviews a weekly report that you send. We expect this job to take 20-25 hours per week once you've gotten familiar with our systems and teams. ——What You Will Do: —— * Own the Series Tracker and publishing calendar from start to finish. You are the single source of truth for what is in production, what is stuck, and what gets published each week. * Run daily coordination and weekly check-ins with five to seven remote team members across two teams via Slack and Frame.io the video review platform * Work with our content review manager to decide what gets reviewed first (QA) and to hold the team to our quality standards. * Be the bridge between the content teams and engineering as needed. Turn problems into clear, simple tasks and follow them until they are fixed. * Keep our operations playbooks accurate and make our processes better as we grow. Need you to be curious about AI and systems. * Send a clear, short weekly report: what we produced versus our targets, anything slowing us down, decisions you made, and decisions you need from us. ——You Are a Fit If: —— * You have managed remote production teams or content operations for two or more years. * You are warm, friendly, and emotionally intelligent. You understand people, you give feedback kindly, and you keep a team motivated. * You are a clear communicator. People always know where things stand because you make it easy to understand. * You know how to manage remote people spread across the world and keep everyone moving toward the same content goals. * You have given feedback on videos before, and you know how to push work until it meets a high bar and stays on-brand, while still keeping production moving at a fast, steady pace. * You are very comfortable in spreadsheets and trackers, and they are always accurate without anyone having to ask. * Your written English is excellent and you prefer clear, documented, async communication over constant meetings. * You are resourceful and genuinely curious about AI content production. You already use AI content tools (TTS, AI video), or you learn new tools fast and can prove it. * You make great decisions on your own and know exactly when to bring the team in instead. * Bonus: you love true crime and documentaries. That is the kind of content we make, and it helps to care about it. Post-production experience and Frame.io are also a plus. —— You Are Not a Fit If: —— * You need someone telling you what to do every day to get going. * You have never managed people. * Documentation feels like a waste of time to you. —— How We Work —— Slack for communication, Google Drive for assets, Frame.io for review, custom AI production tools, and spreadsheet trackers for everything. Fully remote, async-first, and serious about deadlines. —— To Apply: —— Reply with the following: 1. A short paragraph on the most complex multi-person production workflow you have managed. Tell us the team size, what you owned, what broke, and how you fixed it. 2. Your experience with AI content tools. Be specific. General interest does not count. 3. Links to 2–3 pieces of content you managed through production, with one line on what you specifically owned, plus a CV or resume that shows experience relevant to this role. 4. Your timezone and your confirmed daily overlap with US Mountain Time (UTC-6). 5. Start the first line of your application with the word CADENCE so we know you read this post. 6. A screenshot or link to a real tracker you built and ran. Not a description — the actual spreadsheet. 7. A real weekly status report you sent to a boss or team. Paste one in, lightly redacted. 8. Ideally, you can also share a 2–3 minute simple Loom (video explainer) walking through one tracker or workflow you built. . The best candidates will be invited to a short paid test before any final offer. We respond to every qualified application within three business days, and the trial starts right away for the right person. . Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you.
